Experience the magic of Mardi Gras with your favorite Sesame Street characters, witness the wonder of the circus, and honor past presidents all in one weekend! Sesame Place kicks off their Mardi Gras celebrations this weekend, and Disney on Ice is back! Celebrate our Presidents at the Museum of American Revolution or The National Constitution Center and enjoy free admission to the Benjamin Franklin Museum.

February brings so many things to do in Philly, from Black History Month, to Valentine's Day, to Presidents Day Weekend!

February in Philadelphia is packed with family fun! Don't miss the celebration of Black History at the Please Touch Museum or the month-long celebration Black History Month at the National Constitution Center. The Year of the Horse is here and you can celebrate with many events such at Lunar New Year at Dilworth Park or Lunar New Year at the Please Touch Museum. The Barnes Free First Sunday is one of our favorite ways to enjoy the beauttiful Barnes Museum as a family. It's a month of joy and adventure for the whole family!

Our Philadelphia Eagles are the NFC Champions and are ready to battle against the Kansas City Chiefs for the top prize. The Eagles may be underdogs, but nothing can break the spirit of Philly families throughout the Delaware Valley. So, put on your Eagles gear and get pumped up to cheer on the E-A-G-L-E-S (or E-L-G-S-E-S) on the road to victory at some of these fantastic events!

The beauty of Pixar movies is that kids love them and parents love them! But do parents and kids love the same movies? Disney Pixar’s films are known for making kids giggle and parents cry. Is there a perfect Pixar movie to watch that everyone will love?

Looking for the best things to do in Philadelphia during this holiday weekend? Mommy Poppins Philadelphia has rounded up all the can't-miss fun in the Delaware Valley.

Philadelphia is once again observing Indigenous Peoples Day in place of Columbus Day. City public schools are off, and kids can join the IPD Philly celebration at Penn Treaty Park to honor Native American cultures. Stay in the spirit of autumnal fun at Elmwood Park Boo at the Zoo or Daytime Hayrides at Colonial Gardens. Spookier events are creeping onto the calendar, and if your older kids like a good fright, take them to Pennhurst Asylum or Lincoln Mill Haunted House.

Here is my unpopular opinion: kids shouldn’t have cell phones.

As much as a kids' cell phone might seem like the ultimate tool for staying connected, a growing body of research shows that a cell phone for kids—especially a smartphone—can have negative effects on brain development, mental health, academic performance, and more.
