PBS SoCal is bringing its new animated series to life at the Natural History Museum with the help of America’s favorite weather caster, Al Roker.

Guests can explore the science of weather through fun activities and special screenings of Weather Hunters featuring 8-year old weather detective, Lily Hunter, and her dog, Cumulus.

Weather Hunters’ activities take place from 1 to 4 pm in the Grand Foyer, including cloud observation, frame making, and pinwheel design. In the African Mammal Hall, guests can find an interactive Weather Hunters board game, as well as character meet-and-greets with Lily and the PBS Mascot.

Screenings are held at 3pm and 4pm, followed by family-friendly Q&As with Al Roker and show producer Dete Meserve.

At 3:30pm, guests can meet the team behind Weather Hunters at a meet-and-greet in the Welcome Center Lobby; creative talent in attendance includes executive producers Carin Greenberg and John Semper, as well as voice talent Tandi Fomukong (Lily), Kapri Ladd (Corky), and Lorenzo Ross (Benny).

Activities and screenings are free with museum General Admission. Screenings are available on a first come, first served basis.
