New Date! Chinatown Firecracker 5K/10K Run and Walk

UPDATE: The 2025 LA Chinatown Firecracker Run, originally scheduled for early February, is now being held on the weekend of March 8 - 9.
The Lunar New Year run, walk, cycling, and dog walk events are held at the historic Los Angeles Chinatown Plaza, with a choice to participate in-person or virtually.
Each registered participant receives a commemorative t-shirt, goody bag, and finishers medal.
The 1K Kiddie Run is divided into two age groups for younger and older participants (maximum age is 12 years old). Highlights include an opening ceremony filled with lion dancers and the traditional lighting of 100,000 firecrackers. Entry includes access to the Kiddie Fun Zone, with carnival games, face painting, a petting zoo, puppet shows, and arts & crafts.
The Firecracker Festival is a two-day expo showcasing products and services including nutrition, beverages, snacks, running shoes and cycling apparel. The expo is free and open to the public.
Schedule:
The 20- and 50-mile Bike Rides are held on Saturday, as is the 1-mile PAW’er Dog Walk.
On Sunday, events include the 5K & 10K Run/Walks and the 1K Kiddie Run.
