Dating back over 150 years, Cinco de Mayo celebrates friendship and neighbors helping neighbors–specifically the United States and Mexico. This free, hour-long program at the New Rochelle Public Library brings together dazzling music by U.S. and Mexican composers.
Includes compositions by Manuel Ponce, Juan Pablo Contreras, Carlos Chavez, Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Irving Fine, and Arturo Marquez in a joyous and fun-filled party in sound! Featuring soprano Shelen Hughes and pianist Michael Boriskin.
