The season of autumn officially arrives in the Delaware Valley this weekend. That means it is time for fall wardrobes, football, apple treats, and fantastic family events that can be found in our events calendar.

Philly families can embrace the start of the new time of year by building a scarecrow at Floral & Hardy of Skippack, making crafts and getting faces painted at terrain's Autumn Bounty Festival in Glen Mills, or wandering through a Straw Maze at Woodmere. Festival goers can watch the boats race by during the Bucks County Dragon Boat Festival, see martial arts demonstrations at the Korean Festival & Harvest Celebration, or listen to outdoor tunes at Linvilla Orchards during its Arts & Music Festival. Museum enthusiasts can take advantage of the Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day Live! opportunity, a chance to visit a variety of local museums for free (2 tickets per family). Those who love candy, and, frankly who doesn't, can experience Candytopia which opens this weekend in Philly. Sweet, right?

Do you know what else is sweet? Getting the low-down on the latest and greatest baby and parenting info! New and expectant parents should mark their calendars for The Mother of All Baby Showers at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday, September 25.

Until then, read on for our top picks for this fall weekend.
