Father's Day Train Rides at Whippany Railway Museum
Spend Father's Day at the Whippany Railway Museum and treat someone special to an outing he will not soon forget aboard the museum's vintage excursion train. Board the beautifully appointed Club Cars and embark on a 10-mile, 45-minute, round-trip excursion through Morris County.
Dad is sure to enjoy time with his family while being whisked back to another era - a day trip that creates memories for all. Step back through the decades as you travel the route of "The Whippanong Trail". Back at Whippany, be sure to visit the Museum building with its Gift Shop, and historic exhibits, with hundreds of artifacts on display. There's also an operating Lionel O gauge model railroad in operation.
All ticket holders receive a special keepsake from the Museum.
Also, on Father's Day, come and take part in the Grand Opening of the "Alan S. Wishengrad Pavilion" at 12 Noon. The exhibits inside are dedicated to the memory of Alan Wishengrad, a long-time, energetic, dedicated volunteer member of the Whippany Railway Museum.
