Launch day activities include performances, music, art-making activities, food, and more.

MOCA Grand Avenue Schedule:

• Talking Tours (12:30pm, 1:30pm [Spanish], 2:30pm)
• Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (1:30pm)
• MOCA Store Sidewalk Sale (All Day) 
• Screening: Ulysses Jenkins, Dream City (All Day) 
• DJ Sets Curated by Directory (Noon–4pm)

The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA Schedule:

• TAIKOPROJECT Performance and Hands-On Workshop (2:30pm)
• Art making activities: make your own museum! (Noon–4pm)
• Self Help Graphics & Art's Barrio Mobile Art Studio (1–4pm)

In addition, Japanese American National Museum (JANM) and Go For Broke National Education Center (GFBNEC) provide free admission all-day on January 11 to celebrate MOCA's free general admission launch. Plus guests can enjoy games, food trucks, a cash bar, complimentary My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, and more.

A free shuttle runs between MOCA’s two locations from 11:30am to 5:30pm.
