Explore JPL 2023
- see all dates
After a 4 year hiatus, this Mommy Poppins-favorite event is back. The wildly-popular Open House takes visitors on a “ride” through the wonders of space. Highlights include full-size models of Mars rovers and the Europa Clipper spacecraft being constructed in the Spacecraft Assembly Facility, mission control and the machine shop, and the Microdevices Laboratory.
The response to JPL's Open House event has been so great in recent years that attendance has maxed out, leading JPL to make the annual free event a ticketed one. Timed tickets are distributed in a mad internet dash several weeks in advance.
(And yes, Explore JPL is sold out for 2023! You can check the site to see if any tickets become available)
Those lucky enough to score tickets get an inside look at the Jet Propulsion Lab, with an up-close look at space exploration and a chance to meet the scientists and engineers who make it all happen. Plus 3-D movies, multiple spacecraft on display, historical building to walk thru and more. There is a limit of 5 tickets per requestor.
Outside of the open house event, you can explore the JPL campus via its online virtual tour.
Ticket distribution begins at 9am on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
