Learn about maple trees and what it takes to turn sap into syrup at The Nature Place in Chestnut Ridge. Then head outside to tap a tree, taste the sap, watch it boil over a fire, and taste the syrup over crushed ice (with...a dill pickle). Take home a spout for tapping, along with instructions for making maple syrup at home.

The program is offered twice: 12-1pm and 2-3pm.
