Winter Sunday Fundays - Warming Up With New Adventures at Mill River Park
- see all dates
Celebrate the wonder of the season with Winter Sunday Fundays at the Whittingham Discovery Center in Mill River Park. This year’s theme, Warming Up with New Adventures, invites families to embrace the cozy charm of winter through books and hands-on creativity.
From December 14 to February 22 (excluding December 21 and December 28), join us every Sunday at 10 AM for a warm and welcoming morning filled with stories and activities that spark imagination and curiosity. This family-friendly event is the perfect way to spend a peaceful winter morning together. Whether your child loves books, art, or simply exploring new experiences, Sunday Fundays provide an enriching environment for all ages.
Here's the list of books!
Bring your family, make new friends, and create memories that last well beyond the season. This week, families will enjoy a special reading of A Loud Winter’s Nap by Katy Hudson. Children and families will follow Tortoise as he discovers that chilly days can be full of fun when shared with good friends. Through playful adventures and snowy surprises, this heartwarming story celebrates the magic of winter, the joy of friendship, and the excitement of trying something new, making it a perfect read for the season.
