What We're Reading

Me
200908230839.jpg

I've been fascinated to learn how the brain's executive function challenges many kids in school and at home.

The Big Kid
200908230840.jpg

My daughter loved this so much, we read it aloud to the whole family. Then moved on to the next one.

The LIttle Kid

A wonderful story with great illustrations and an environmental message that's not preachy or scary.

Mother of All Giveaways: Metropolitan Moms Cooking Class

party3.jpgWe're in day two of our Mother of All Giveaways. And have we told you what we have in store? Today, a deluxe Hands-On Cooking class for moms. Later in the week we will be giving away flowers, beautifully designed mommy calling cards, a beauty day, and an incredible portrait package with a professional photographer. Don't miss any of these great giveaways!

Mother of All Giveaways Day Two: Metropolitan Moms Hands On Cooking Class

Whether you want to be a chef or just look like one...the Metropolitan Moms Hands-On Cooking class is a great afternoon of "dishing and dining" with other moms and star-studded Chef Paul of Tartine and Titou. Learn how to whip up an impressive three-course meal at the Miette Culinary Institute housed in an intimate West Village townhouse.

Metropolitan Moms is a great group that takes moms out on sophisticated outings like museum tours, gallery walks and neighborhood expeditions, with or without babies and toddlers, allowing mom to feed her brain, her soul and her need to meet other moms all at once. One winner will get to attend the Metropolitan Moms Hands-On Cooking class, a moms-only event being held on Wednesday, May 14th at 11:30. This is an amazing Mother's Day treat for yourself, your wife, or a friend. I feel more relaxed just writing about it.

How to enter:
To enter this giveaway, email this post or send an email or tell a friend that doesn't already know about Mommy Poppins and give them the Mother's Day gift of Mommy Poppins and our week of giveaways. It's not SPAM when you're sharing your favorite NYC parenting resource with a friend. Alternatively you can post a comment on your favorite related forum, listserv or group.

Then leave a comment on this post. You must leave a comment here to be entered. CCing me on your email is great, but doesn't enter you.

Comments must be entered by midnight, Wednesday, May 7th.

We will not use your email or the email of your friends for anything other than notifying the winners (or possibly saying thanks for the nice comment).

PS. You have until midnight tonight to leave a comment on yesterday's Fine Art of Family jewelry giveaway.
