New Manhattan Movement and Arts Center Children’s Program – Meet the teachers, try out classes, and enjoy additional fun and surprises at an Open House from 9:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, at Manhattan’s newest arts center. The MMAC Children’s Program, launching September 15, offers classes ranging from Mommy & Me to art, music, dance, theater, yoga and martial arts, for ages toddler to teen. Apple Seeds- Demo reservations are taken on a first come first serve basis, check out their website to see which class fits your little one. To reserve a spot, call 212.792.7590 - note that there is a limit of 2 demos per family, per semester.

Music for Aardvarks
- Sample clasess throughout August in locations all over Manhattan, including two at CMOM though you will need to pay museum admission for those. There will also be free sample classes at the Tribeca location on September 10 and 11. RSVP to info@musicformanhattan.com for more information and to reserve a spot.

92nd Street Y- A free Music Open House on September 7th with opportunities to tour studios, meet faculty and learn about classes as well as a free demo class for their new SoundGarden program, a pre-instrumental music class for 4s and 5s.The program harnesses children's natural sense of wonder to explore the world of sounds with everything from bubble wrap to shakers to their own tummies. You can also check out their annual Street Festival on Sept. 14th which includes free half-hour dance classes for kids and adults see their website for details 

miniMasters - Holds an open house on September 4 from 9:15 - 5:00 with classes scheduled througout the day.  Check out their site to find out when you can try Gym Rock, babyMuscles, ballet, mommy and me yoga, and then stick around for story time, Suzuki Violin and Piano performances and more.  Be sure to RSVP at 212-374-1747.

Check out a Private Picasso art class at Gumbo, the Brooklyn hot spot located on Atlantic Ave.  All trial classes will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11 at the below listed times. "Triangles, Squares and Circles, Oh My" for young artists age 2-3, 10-10:45am.  "Let¹s Look in our Favorite Book " for ages 3-5, uses children¹s literature as inspiration for their artwork, 3:30-4:15pm.  "Recycled Art"  for ages 6-9 will use a variety of recycled materials to create two and three dimensional artwork, 4:30-5:15pm. "Zip, Zap, Zoom: Comics for Kids" for ages 9-12 , kids will learn the basics to creating their own comic book, 5:30-6:15pm. You can also try out their Spanish Language Music Class, Musica Para Mi on Sept 6 or 11. To register or reserve for Free Trials, email musicaparami@aol.com or call 718-643-6660.
