If you do an indoor egg hunt, we recommend using plastic or blown eggs, as to not find any hard-boiled surprises months later (yuck).

Over a dozen Easter egg hunts, divided by borough:

Weekend Events and Activities for Kids on Long Island, March 5-7

Weekend Events and Activities for Kids on Long Island, March 5-7

Folklore tells us that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Let's hope that we get some of that "lamb"-like weather soon! In the meanwhile, here are some indoor activities to keep us occupied. For those who do not mind the brisk outdoor weather, there are ice skating options and an outdoor maple-sugaring class. Enjoy!

Inexpensive Date Night Childcare: Parents Night Out Services on Long Island

Inexpensive Date Night Childcare: Parents Night Out Services on Long Island

Need a night out?  Wouldn't it be fun to go out on a date?  Or just do a little shopping?
Many children’s facilities nowadays are offering fantastic drop-off programs, giving parents an opportunity to enjoy an evening out.  You can rest assured, knowing your child is in a safe, stimulating environment.  Many parents take advantage of "Parents' Night Out" to go out to dinner locally, but it is not unusual to hear of parents who use this time to clean or run errands.  Even families with children who are too young to attend, can drop off the older children in order to have some free time when the younger ones go to sleep.
