The Fort Greene Park Halloween Festival, now in its 9th year, features a cornucopia of free activities for children and their parents, including hayrides, face-painting, inter-active children's music and dance, games and prizes, costume contest for dogs at noon plus live entertainment – culminating in a children's costume parade.

The festival is organized and produced by members of the Fort Greene Park Conservancy, a not-for-profit community-based organization dedicated to the restoration and upkeep of Brooklyn's historic Fort Greene Park.

Join Paul DuBois Jacobs and Jennifer Swender, a husband-and-wife writing team, for this lively and interactive children’s program. The authors will read from their popular New York City books for children, including My Subway Ride (Gibbs Smith, 2004), transporting you on the New York subway from Yankee Stadium to Coney Island, engaging the audience with storytelling, singing, movement, and dramatization. Hop aboard to sing and move as we shine the spotlight on the rhythm and beat of the Big Apple.
