This summer, London artist Chris Long is celebrating childhood with This is Fun, a solo show at gallery hanahou featuring his new original works of children in their natural environments. With bright acrylics, Chris captures the exuberant feelings of children when adults have stepped out of the picture and kids are free to be themselves.

Carnival Of The World/ Carnival Del Mundo Thursday, Jul 10, 2008 10:30 a.m. Dan Butterworth's intricately hand-carved puppets whirl around the stage and into the audience, dancing to the beat of world music. A unique spectrum of puppetry styles and genres commence on the stage, creating a huge carnival creature alive with movement. Supported by the New England Foundation for the Arts since 1979, Dan and his puppets have performed in movies, operas, classical music festivals and TV specials. Location: MORNINGSIDE PARK - Manhattan West 123rd Street & Morningside Avenue
