Love this post! I never really thought of the big picture sensory question.
My son is a very outgoing, energetic kid. I relate to the need to give him big, heavy jobs and get his whole body moving. He's also a super smeller (can guess his snack correctly from the other room 90% of the time and he's not yet 3) which is fun and hasn't been a problem. And he's also a BITER (we call it having the "bities" when he has the urge and can recognize it in time to stop it), which is so hard for us and a phase I hope he outgrows SOON.
Now that you've got me thinking... Hmmm. I wonder how is vision is (maybe x-ray?!!!)... he can recognize instruments in recorded music.
